1958 Generation Jones

This Jones Generation year of 1958, was a milestone for the infrastructure and entertainment we depend upon today. 2/21/58 was when the symbol for Nuclear Disarmament and I were established. So too was NASA, FAA, AARP, and Credit Cards. The Internet, and the integrated circuit (micro-chip) were created. DNA was discovered. It was the first year after the Baby Boom, and The new Jones Generation, born into a recession. They include Today's legendary artists. Perkins Restaurant & Bakery.

Within my logo to the right, The mouth and bottom ^ shapes an A. The "nd" in the middle of ^ stands for nuclear disarmament, the original purpose of the peace symbol by Gerald Holton.

Brittany M Dauzat and I developed this from a similar picture she found on the web. The puzzle piece is the symbol for all who are on the autism spectrum, including Asperger Syndrome. A ribbon would connote that ASpies needs a cure. We want it known that we need awareness, tolerance, and cooperation for who we are. We don't have a disease. Fighting off intollerence.

I am so amazed at how much energy and happiness can be derived from Biking 10 miles, spending time with friends, and eating fresh food. Imagine how much more productive I could have been most of my life with friends, exercise, and fresh food! It has taken me half a century for me to feel safe on this planet, so I can crack the code on how to make friends, and bring down the shields, now that the artillery fire has subsided, and my Nemesis's have died or been defeated. It is safe now to discover and experience life.

During my life, my greatest friend, the video display, has provided me five of the greatest inventions ever: TV, PC, Internet, WWW, and FaceBook.

My Focus

I have received MAIL. A reader asked me: "My only questions is, why focus on the Asberger's aspect of your personality as opposed to your entire personality? You are Andrew before you are someone with Asberger's Syndrome."

I do not understand your reply above. An Aspie is someone who has Asperger's Syndrome. As an Aspie, I do not think the same way as NT people do. I explain primarily myself in my Web Log, especially with what I individual write. My primary interest is for the reader outside of me, to discover, know, and understand me. To say that I am an Aspie, helps one understand me through an established general definition. Your difference from me is invisible, and has a significance. Someone's race (like black or white) is noticeable but has no tangible difference in who one is. Every individual has a unique personality. Aspie does not mean or define one's personality. My personality is affected by using the Aspie operating system. I was born that way, as well as being named Andrew. It is who I am. As consequence of this, some commonalities of me and Aspie's are noticeable when compared to NT's. My Blog represents me as an individual first. It has been a very frustrating and lonely life for me. It was for not knowing my specific parameters or restraints when compared with typical people. Finally discovering the name of A.S., for my set of parameters, has given me profound focus, understanding, confidence, and empowerment. I now know my unique gifts of strengths, and defined limits. So as to promote greater understanding, communication, and cooperation of all people, I am driven to make all people, Aspie or NoT, know of our differences. I know myself, and report what I can most identify with in traits of all others. I explain these similarities I have with Aspies, and the differences with NT's. NTs are not all the same, neither are Aspies all the same. I have sets of similarities with "New Yorkers", Jews, and Aspie's. I do not share all traits or characteristics of either of these groups. However to know them, helps to understand me. I explain how a Typical Aspie is like me. I do not try to fit any stereotype of what an Aspie is. I was born a Jew. I do not deny I am a Jew. However, I find religion, such as being Jewish, inconsequential. I am not religious. I am Agnostic. I do not define this as my religious identity or persuasion. It is my purpose for living. That is of seeking knowledge for its own sake. I hope that others, who read the information that I provide, can help them realize their identity and focus, for a more productive and meaningful life. I am very much a unique individual first, and am not easily persuaded to conform. In some ways, it is impossible to conform to Typical people. I do not have a disease. There is nothing to be cured. I love who I am the way I am. This individual thinking is a strong commonality of Aspie's that contrasts us from NTs. I am an Aspie. Get used to it!

• Some folks when reading constantly about how you state you are Aspie may think that.Others may think you may use "ASPIE" to label yourself and follow some sort of guidelines that have been established by other information out there posted by researchers, doctors, ASPIES etc.

  • OK. Just try to think outside of the ASPIE box once in a while, which I know you do. Find a NT list and try a few of the listed charasteristics. You may surprize yourself!

I am not belligerent If I can not tell you how you expected me to have felt when I did something that that unknowingly offended you. To avoid upsetting people, I often ask them many questions to find out how they would feel, to help guide me of how I should act. They ofen have a hard time answering, or get annoyed by this. Hopefully you can see my continuous frustration. I experience "after guilt", when it is explained by them, after my action, that I upset them. NT "characteristics" have been treated as the standard" It is the different way in which Aspies process information that needs to be made aware of by all Neuros.

It is rare that people have the courage to be so open, honest, blunt and direct to me. People instead get constantly annoyed by me because I do not know.

Viewpoint and Motive.

My viewpoint and motive is of the now and worldly. Some may find that there is a missing part. It may be refereed to as the spiritual or higher self. I do not recognize this. People perceive me as if my "inner being" does not feel or perceive. Death is Free.

If you are so sure that " Palestine , the country, goes back through most of recorded history," I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine :
1. When was it founded and by whom?
2. What were its borders?
3. What was its capital?
4. What were its major cities?
5. What constituted the basis of its economy?
6. What was its form of government?
7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?
8. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
9. What was the language of the country of Palestine ?
10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine ?
11. What was the name of its currency?
Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese Yuan on that date.
12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?
You are lamenting the "low sinking" of a "once proud" nation.. Please tell me, when exactly was that "nation" proud and what was it so proud of?
And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call "Palestinians" are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?
I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day "Palestinians" to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here.
The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel ; they still cherish it today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy. For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it "the Palestinian people" and installed it in Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally accept back the "West Bank" and Gaza , respectively?
The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have much less claim to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in Connecticut with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino: at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them. The so-called "Palestinians" have only one motivation: the destruction of Israel , and in my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation" -- or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that will one day be dismantled.
In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East . Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel's ancient sovereignty over Gaza , Judea, and Samaria .
That will mark the end of the Palestinian people.

Andrew... had a delightful meal at Tijuana Flats (BOGO), and picked up DVDs of Mad Men Darn, it was the only TV series sold out of both season 2 and 3! could only get first 3 DVDs of season 1 only!

Andrew Irving Lerner (1958 to present) was born in Roslyn, Long Island*, New York, U.S.A. On February 21, 1958, the peace sign was also born. Father Bert was a CPA IRS Agent, born in 1915, in a Jewish Ghetto, technically part of Poland. Mother Edith was born in 1918, in The Bronx, in NYC. Her Father was a Journalist from Lithuania, and her mother, a Registered Nurse from Hungary. I lived in *Syosset, also a town in Nassau County, until 1977. The first schools attended were Alice P. Willits, Midway Jewish Center, and Harry B. Thompson. I was Bar-Mitzvah, and Best Man at my brother’s wedding, in 1971. 1976 is the year graduated from Syosset High School.

I had a very difficult lonely life socially, emotionally, and academically. I was not diagnosed as being Autistic until 2006. Most influence and education in my life is credited to the media, and my Brother Richard. His interests included The Beatles, Star Trek, and politics. Since a little boy, my interests have been in communication, Science, Advertising art and design. I completed a 675 hour course in Computer Programming on 9/11/81. Colleges attended, were S.U.N.Y. @ Farmingdale, and Borough of Manhattan C. C. I Graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia C. C. of C.U.N.Y. in 1987. I earned an A.A.S. in Computer Information systems. Odie Zephron was a Whippet/Sheppard mix, adopted in 1987. Marriage was to Laurie Neil Vaiana, via the Star Trek Fan club, on 7/18/92. Richard was Best Man.

I was living in Queens since John Lennon’s death on 12/7/1979. I worked at Fortunoff* and Hoffritz for Cutlery (defunct). I purchased 2 cooperative apartments. The first was a 2.5 room studio in Rego Park in 1986. The second, in 1992, was a 3.5 room in Bellerose with Laurie and Odie. After renting out my former home to problem tenants a few years, I sold my shares, to instead own one home free and clear.

Jobs included Computer Operations Clerk, Driving Instructor, Bank Teller, Cashier, Pizza delivery, and Retail Counselor. Longest employers of 2-3 years included Manufacturers Hanover Bank, Bed Bath, & Beyond, and Circuit City*. I purchased my first brand new car, 1999 Escort. I resigned these 2 jobs to work at Gateway* and The Wiz*, who closed their stores within two years. He missed his last day at The Wiz, flying to Florida. Mother died days later on 9/19/2002. This was during my separation (divorced 5/9/03). I brought Odie to die on 6/3/04 with Richard. A buyer for the one-B.R. was found at the end of 2004. The losses of these three, once-greatest friends, jobs, & leaving NY, provided great empowerment & relief. I started www.andrewlerner.blogspot.com.

On 01/05/05, I sold my only home, and drove to Florida near Orlando. My current two-bedroom, two-bath condominium in Lake Mary, was purchased in cash, on 5/31/05. The second bedroom was rented out during my longest employer, at a call center one mile away. During that time, I was empowered by finding my Aspie identity. I am now pursuing my 35 year interest in Graphic Design. On 12/01/08 my nemesis father, and greatest economic benefactor, died alone near my sister in Florida. “I met my last Roommate, the previous month, from Craigs-List and Convergys. After 3.5 years, I was laid off from Convergys on 02/23/09. *Fortunoff and Circuit City close during this time.

I continue to receive Unemployment benefits. I am further taking advantage of the Stimulus bill, Pell Grant and inheritance. I replaced with brand new, the following: my furniture, refrigerator, wardrobe, 2010 RAV4, added 2 PCs, 3HDs, Colbert Cat, joined gym, + hired personal trainer. I have found LOVE in FLOrida, and also by adding a _VE below FL. I married my Roommate on 02/02/10. Richard was the only non-Floridian to attend our wedding.

I am currently in college towards a Bachelors degree, to pursue my first career. 56 jobs at age 52 is too much. This is also due to the persecution, discrimination, and intolerance suffered throughout life, due to Asperger’s Syndrome. I have never felt so secure and confident, and had as many good friends, as I do now. Ironically, Convergys continues to provide me money, insurance, and my best friends. My wife was released from Convergys 6/4/10.

Good As You = G.A.Y.

A natural part of every being is sexuality. Each has a personal percentage of sexual desire. Sexual orientation is just as variable. Neither propensity within the scale of Homosexuality or Heterosexuality, or somewhere in the middle is neither bad or good. Everyone is as Good As You. You are Good As You. I am as good as you. We are all G.A.Y. Let us all accept everyone as individuals, be tolerant in variances, and be gay.

Sexual-diversity is not a choice. In a way the "Religious-Right" would have you believe that they are "pro-choice". I disagree with that view of "choice". I also disagree with the view of "right to life". Everyone is an individual, and has a right to choice. A parasite does not have the same rights as an individual. I also disagree with the view that an individual should loose one's individual "right to life", and be put to death. This is despite one's violation of an other's right to to have chosen life. The "religious right" are fundamentally wrong.

Neuro-diversity is not a choice. As an Aspie, I feel more comfortable in a closet, than to be with many people. I frequently come out of my closet with little sex drive. Although Aspie's can make poor parents, and I am grateful not to have children, I predominantly prefer women, and am also heterosexual. Aspie does not mean asexual. There is no cure for Autism just as there is no cure for "homosexuality".

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign.

We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

For this new year of 5679, The following have been updated on the left of this site: "A Sight" (picture of my logo), my &rew-card, the view of &rew, and my profile.

Off Days

It bothers me much not to have Friday and Saturday off each week. I have a regimented schedule to do certain tasks every seven days consistently. Also, this encompasses the Sabbath or day of rest, and is not a workday. I can get much more done on a Friday than on a Sunday, since everyone else is working. I also am distressed not to have my two days off consecutively. For this reason, I have programmed my days off as my first priority. My workweek starts with Sunday, and ends with Saturday. Therefore, my preferences, in order of most desired first, are: Friday & Saturday, Thursday & Friday, Wednesday & Thursday, Tuesday & Wednesday, Monday & Tuesday, and Sunday & Monday. So far I have been given my first three choices these past few weeks. This week, it is back to Friday & Saturday, 12/20&21/07.

I just found out, what my schedule is, for next week. Imagine my dismay, finding that I have only Monday and Tuesday off! I do not know why this was done. I was given no explanation. This would mean only working the one regular workday of Sunday, and then having two days off again! Then I might have to work the next nine days in a row! Besides that, many people are not working on this particular Monday and Tuesday, preventing my productivity! These days off dates are December 24 and 25. They are the most lonely and depressing days of the year! I have nothing better to do than to work. I had to trade these two days with two other people’s days off in order to get Thursday and Friday off next week! That is the time I would then need to do my weekly laundry, groceries, postal mail, dishes, refuse, shave, pills, and cleaning!

President George W. Bush has pathetic poll standings because of his position on stem cell research, the Iraq war, Hurricane Katrina, and the Veterans'Administration. George Bush is a liar, cheat, and a low-intelligence weasel. He took the tragedy of September 11th and used it to frighten and manipulate the American people. He lied about weapons of mass destruction and invaded Iraq for oil and money, causing the deaths of tens of thousands and making the United States the most hated country on earth. He appointed cronies to positions of power and influence, leading to widespread death and destruction during Hurricane Katrina. He awarded contracts and tax cuts to his rich friends so that we now have more poverty in this country and a greater gap between rich and poor than we've had since the Depression.He has headed the most corrupt, bribe-inducing political party since Teapot Dome. The national surplus has turned into a staggering national debt of$7.6 trillion, gas prices are up 85%, which the people of America cannot afford, and vital research in global warming and stem cells is stopped cold because he's afraid to lose votes from religious kooks.

Bush more Evil

Guess who President Bush wants to be the next U.S. Surgeon General?

Hint: His past writings indicate that he believes homosexuality is a "lifestyle" choice that should be "cured," and he has compared reproductive organs to plumbing parts. His name is Dr. James Holsinger. And he's the man America might be depending on for sound medical advice.

Holsinger's record seems to demonstrate that he is uninterested in the best scientific information available; instead, he allows his anti-gay bias to inform his medical judgments. That means that instead of hearing the usual warnings against smoking and drinking, America might be subjected to a new one that says, "homosexuality is unnatural and unhealthy!"

I'm outraged - and I knew you would be, too. But we can do something to stop Holsinger from becoming our nation's top doctor. I wrote my Senators, telling them to vote NO on his nomination. Will you join me? The Senate needs to hear from as many of us as possible - so that they have no choice but to listen. Take action today by clicking here. HeadOn is a topical product intended for headache relief, produced by Miralus Healthcare and invented by teenager Jeremy Sinsimer, who claims it is a homeopathic remedy.[1] Although intended uses are not listed on the website or in the commercial spot, the purported purpose of the product is to assuage headaches.[1] Chemical analysis has shown that the product consists almost entirely of wax. The two listed active ingredients, white bryony (a type of vine) and potassium dichromate, are diluted to .000001 PPM and 1 PPM respectively.[2] This amount of dilution is so great that the product is arguably a placebo.[3] [4] The Better Business Bureau has asked Miralus Healthcare not to make claims that HeadOn cures headaches.
