1968 TV = 40 years ago.

In 1968 or 1967, I remember a TV commercial for Chevrolet automobiles. This is what I remember of a jingle: "Chevy is first, leading the way... Our savings explosion is happening today... 1968 savings... Explo Explo Explo! (fireworks exploding in the background)." I believe "Explo" was the name of an automobile. CHEVROLET '68 SAVINGS: good color―Frankie Randall and Jenny Smith sing together to advertise the "Chevy Explo" of savings―they both sing on a Ferris wheel.

Anonymous said...: I remember the Explo commercial - it was in 1967 - The "Explo" was the name of the promotional campaign for Chevy, not the name of the car.
